Since 1976 The Banks Group has concentrated on the provision of coal for the energy needs of industry and the domestic market. Since 2004 our renewable energy team has built on our experience in successfully developing complex projects.
The team will continue the company’s work in the energy sector utilising its successful project management systems, development teams and engineers.
Coal still provides 30% of the UK’s electricity and whilst we will continue to pursue surface mining sites to provide some of this coal to the UK electricity generating industry, we also recognise the need to develop more sustainable ways of generating this electricity and to deliver new indigenous generation into the UK.
