Key facts about our proposals:
The site is situated near to the junction of the M1 and M18 in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
Six turbines are proposed, each with a capacity of 2-3.3 MW.
The turbines typically have a hub height of around 80m and a maximum tip height of 132m.
The turbines could produce up to 19.8MW of renewable energy
The site lies within one of a few areas in Rotherham district identified by our site finding process as being suitable for wind farm development.
The site would deliver the target for renewable energy generation from onshore wind that Rotherham Council has been set. The target to 2010 is for 11MW of generation, and the target to 2021 is 36MW. |
